Parish Council Nominee | Anne Philpot

Each year, the Parish Council presents a slate of candidates to be elected by a simple majority of our voting members at the annual congregational meeting. After receiving several thoughtful nominations and completing our discernment and vetting process, we are pleased this year to present one nominee: Anne Philpot, for election on November 16th.

Anne has been confirmed in the Anglican Church in North America and has been active at Harbor Anglican for the past two years. She is widely recognized within our community as a servant-leader—someone who embodies wisdom, spiritual maturity, and a generous heart.

Having taken time to pray and thoughtfully discern this call, Anne has humbly accepted the invitation to serve in this way. It is with great joy and confidence that we commend her to you as a nominee for Parish Council.

Meet Anne Philpot!

I’ve been attending Harbor for about two years and am grateful to have found such a strong community here in a short period of time. I’m excited to serve as a member of the Parish Council.

Born and raised in Oklahoma, I grew up visiting extended family in Washington and British Columbia. I eventually moved here to attend Seattle Pacific University on a rowing scholarship. I had become a follower of Christ as a child in a Southern Baptist church. It wasn’t until law school in DC that I discovered the Anglican tradition. Since then, I’ve been involved in a variety of Anglican congregations as my career led me to Texas and Nevada. I returned to Seattle in 2023 and immediately felt at home at Harbor.

When I’m not at work or church, you’ll find me marathon training with my running club, FaceTiming with my nieces, and cooking my way through the NYTimes Cooking’s vegetarian section. Feel free to contact me at philpotanne@gmail.com
